Don't cherry pick a few examples and try to make that out as something bigger than it is.

Why not?  That's exactly what you do.

Really? I think you will find the US has remade the majority of things so suit it's own culture.

That's true, though also trivial as why else would it be remade? I believe he was talking about your claim that US remakes suck.

FilmAlba is a troll. He writes outrageous idiotic statements in order to get a reaction. Like a little child who offers nothing but tantrums to gain attention.

I now will ignore his pissing on my leg, and then clean and dry my trousers and myself and just walk on by, letting him whiz into the wind from now on.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

A lot of them do in my opinion. I would put emphasis on the opinion

See this is the thing with ppl like VibroCount and some others. You say something and they don't like it. And then there almost forcing you at gun point to conform to what they think just cause you don't agree with them.

There's a simple solution to this whole problem. If you don't like American movies, and clearly you don't: DON'T WATCH THEM! Then, maybe you won't hate; no that's not the right word...oh yeah, you won't be so jealous of us. I really feel bad that you waste so much of your time on us. Oh well, it's your time to waste. Good job.

By the by, all you manage to do is make us stronger and more united...thanks.

P.S. The you in this situation is general, not individual. Also, American remakes aren't for your pleasure, they are for ours.

No, you are right, FilmAlba is excruciatingly jealous of America. It oozes through each of his posts. It doesn't have to be a general you, in this case it can be specific.

He pulled the same stuff over at BPR with his jealous of America rages, that's why he was banned. Life is so much nicer because of it.

I've ignored him for months now and it's wonderful. The only downside is when he starts getting quoted and his trolling gets through. Then it's just sad.

I ignore him most of the time, but sometimes I'll read one of his posts and it requires me to reply. And yes, I was talking about FilmAlba. I am d _ _ n proud to be an American and feel for the most part that people should have the right to think and feel however they want, no matter who they are or where they're from. OK, I'm off the soapbox until the next time.

What you got to understand is my hate has a lot to do with how your country is becoming less free and more ruled by the stupid people.

And remaking things further re in -forces.

But that's fine view my hate as being totally 1 dimensional and applicable to all American society if you must.

I don't believe that we come from Scotland...well, not all of us anyway...but, at least now, I understand the hatred and jealousy.

Why is suddenly having a different opinion deemed trolling. Ok your country is awesome, super amazing and nothings wrong with it.

Happy now.

Ok...firstly....FilmAlba...what's so great about the UK?
I live here and, with the exception of the countryside, it pretty much sucks.
And, don't forget that when you're telling Americans to remember where they came from....it's the attitude of the English that travelled across the water with them.

As a nation Engliand has just as much to answer for throughout history.
Every country has its problems so give it a rest.

Back on topic...no one answered my question: Why does America feel the need to remake UK TV shows? Or, for that matter, ANY tv show that's in the English language?

I truly don't understand and would like to know what our American friends think the reason is.
