The contribution rules only allow original song writers to be included, for songs "written specifically for the film". Well, for 'Suicide Doors', that's not the case. Note, for instance, that 'Suicide Doors' is not included on the film's soundtrack album (and note that 'Flood of Dreams', which is an original song, is included): https://www.soundtrack.net/album/king-of-california/Cast/Crew from: removal of non-original song only. Evaluate this contribution *Updated Notes* The contribution rules only allow original songs, "written specifically for the film". That's not case for 'Suicide Doors': - the end credits include a "Courtesy of" credit for each of the 13 non-original songs, for the record company that previously put out the song. Only the lone original song doesn't have that "Courtesy of" credit, because it's the only song that hasn't been previously released; - the artist's bio at ReverbNation (https://www.reverbnation.com/cyncere23) states: "The song titled 'Suicide Doors' was in the movie 'King of California'. That says that the song was used in the movie, but it doesn't say it was written for the movie. - the song does not appear on the film's soundtrack album: The no-voter claims many things, but doesn't provide proof for any of it, so I'm letting this stand. This is not an original song. Profile Contribution Approved 2021-05-11 12:41:41 |
