I’m having the same problem on the iPhone app. When it gets to step 4 ‘updating collection’ I think.  It errors ‘error uploading collection please try again’.  I’ve tried 100 times over the last 4 days.

If I look at my online database it only has 50 entries though I don’t have the windows app to open it and see if it’s corrupt any further. It should be many more entries than that though.
Does Invelos monitor these threads and suggest/do anything anymore? I know the app hasn’t been updated for years. I’d love the scanner to work again but since the macro lens was introduced to iPhones you can’t get the bloody thing to focus on barcodes anymore.

Then you are out of luck until they fix this. Of course, that might never occur. If you have a small collection, you might want to consider using a different app. If you have a large collection you should consider purchasing the PC app. It will extend the life of your iPad app and, more importantly, it will allow you to move your collection to a different iOS app. If you have an Intel Mac, you can use Bootcamp to run Windows 10 for free.

I can't upload anything either, if it doesn't get fixed soon we may have to abandon ship. I understand perhaps it's a project that is no longer updated, but payments are still being taken. Please if it's the case there will be no futher updates, this should be stated and the payments stop being taken for app buyers? I am not making any demands, just would be nice if there was an update as I only recently purchased the app. If its not going to be fixed, some time for migration would be helpful. Thank you

Don't expect any iOS updates but since this recent upload issue is a new server problem, there is a chance it will be corrected.

There are two iOS apps that claim to be able to import data from DVD Profiler, namely, My Movies 5 and iCollect Movies:DVD Tracker. In both cases, however, you will need the PC version of DVD Profiler to export your data. It would be nice if the web site offered a data export option, but I doubt that is ever going to happen. There are other iOS movie apps that import data, e.g., MovieBuddy+, but none of them will import the DVD Profiler export file format.

Collectorz also claims to be able to import DVD Profiler export files, but you need to subscribe to their Movie Collector web service or windows app as well as their iOS app.

I just tried to import my collection into MovieBuddy. While the xml to csv conversion is painfully achievable, MovieBuddy uses IMDb instead of UPC to identify entries. Since, as far as I can tell, DVD Profiler doesn't record IMDb, this is a non-starter.

I am still having error uploading my collection.

I signed in to my online account today.I noticed that it showed I have 40 titles, last upload March whatever 24, I have over 1200 titles in my collection. So it says to reset my collection to delete it, so I did that and then selected my settings, so I tried again and it still won’t upload, get same error with the iOS app.

I would try deleting the iOS app and reinstalling it, as that sometimes solves issues, however, doing that would delete my collection from the iOS app, and I’d have to start over, plus this is most likely a server issue as that is what changed.

Also, I recently purchased the 4K aliens, and in trying to add to my collection it doesn’t come up, so I tried to search by title with blu-ray and 4K on, and no results, so maybe there is more than one server issue here.

I am hoping the ppl who run this site are reading this thread and trying to solve the issues but not sure if they are, it’s been over a month with no communication.

I'm with you. I haven't been able to update in months. I'm using the iPad app and have been getting "Error uploading collection. Please try again later."

I use the iPad and whenever I update I get that message, but it still mostly updates.  Sometimes I have to keep entering the new discs with barcode several times (I don't hve the desktop version to submit titles) but eventually they take and the entries stay.
