My problem is, with 3,000+ hardcover books, 1,000+ paperbacks, 1,000+ VHS tapes, and 2,500 DVDs, I'm running out of room!!!

Convert those VHS tapes to DVD!

I have a home built DVR using Snapstream's BeyondTV and I'm thinking about doing this with my VCR.

I had to go with ” Start looking at buying a bigger house”, because I just did buy a bigger apartment

For myself not for my DVD collection, but I don’t need to tell about that part do I

I plan to live in one tower...and put my dvd collection in the other!  I'll probably have to move to the sky bridge when my collection gets too big.

I was living in a basement apartment and my dvds were finding their way into the kitchen cupboards.  Wasn't going over to well with the Mrs.  We bought this house back in March... full finished basement and a rec room full of 3000+ dvds and plenty of room yet to grow.  **backflip**  YAY!!

I have a couple hundred that I've done that way. Just remember that you can't contribute such VHS to DVD conversions.

WHY?  Do you own stock in that particular type or something?

I don't know how anyone could sell or give away a DVD no matter how bad it is.  That would be like cutting off my arm.

I have some that stink too.

Ayup. But you can add it to your collection by name.

My house has a small 5 room apartment attached to the rear. I'm afraid I had to evict the tenent to make room for my collections. I proceded to build floor to ceiling shelving units throughout to hold my collections. My problem is, with 3,000+ hardcover books, 1,000+ paperbacks, 1,000+ VHS tapes, and 2,500 DVDs, I'm running out of room!!!

I'd love to see pictures of this!

I finally bought a digital camera! The problem is the instruction manual is a half inch thick! I looked at it once and put it all back in the box! Once I get someone to show me what to do, I'll send pictures of my "stuff". I do love "stuff:!

I can store 400 DVDs in area that's 17"x21"x8".  It's called a Sony DVP-CX995V Changer and when I run out of room I can add another one!
