We are getting close to releasing the cleaned-up half of version 2 of the Headshots Master Databse.  It took a lot of work to get the Family Friendly version together and clean up the issues.  We are looking to gauge the interest in the R-rated to see if it would be worth putting together the R-Rated cleaned up version.

Personally, I would probably download a topless and/or full nude one out of curiosity, but I will be using the G-rated one in my main database. Too many sensitive eyes looking at my db.

Technically I guess I don't care how much skin is shown, but just for practical reasons I guess I'd prefer either fully clothed or topless, just because it's easier to see what people look like if the photos are cropped relatively tightly. To me, if it's full body shots it sort of defeats the purpose of having headshots in the first place.

I thought a headshot was from the neck up. Or are we talking about topless faces?

It's funny that some people are more concern about slight sexual content than eg. brutal violence...

Note that if you want to see the headshots (or bodyshots) of the nude/topless girls, you also have to have those DVDs in your collection where they perform, unless you just to browse the actor database in profile editing window. And by doing a full database repair after the restore you can get rid of them totally.

If you have only "family friendly" DVDs, then you probably don't even have any DVDs where those girls perform. I noticed that several of the full nude or topless girls are Playboy's ex-Playmates. I made some work to replace some of the images with a high resolution HEADshot. I think that a nice headshot is much better than a picture of full body when the image is in size of a thumb. And I do not have any concerns about nudity.

I voted "family friendly"... not because I have a family, nor because I have any concerns about nudity.
But since I think that I wouldn't find what I like in a R-rated collection, I prefer HEADshots

Can you remember the fuss made when Janet jackson exposed a nipple at a football (I think) match?

Americans went crazy..

Now real violence with people being killed.. thats perfectly ok..

I voted for 'full body' purely so that it would be clear that I wasn't concerned about nudity and didn't need it censored.. But the topless would be easier to see..

Yeah, it's unbelievable. Show a little skin and scandal erupts. Show a couple of kid gunning down someone, all is fine.

Isn't it in the Simpsons that they were supposed to have Michelangelo's David sculpture exposed in a museum, and to stop the controversy of it being nude, they covered it with guns, grenades, etc.?

I know that in an episode they covered it up - but I don't remember the guns/grenades. But it would have been a clever idea..

Makes little difference to me, although a good, clear facial image is what I'd prefer.  And, if possible, an image representing the actor as he/she is most commonly known - i.e., adult shot of Jodie Foster instead of as a child.  For a child star who wasn't really successful or prolific in adult roles, the "young" photo might be more appropriate - since we can only have 1 pic per actor.

I would agree with KDH's position.  I prefer my Macaulay Culkin headshot, if I must have one, to be him as a kid, not a drugged-out adult.

And I prefer cheesecake shots of the attractive female stars, not necessarily nudity.

i'm sorry, i feel as if i just walked into the twilight zone or something. there's a choice between head shots and skin shots? what films are these for, regular films...have i completely lost track of what's going on in the world? I'm going to have to see a shot of andy devine without his shirt............

not that i have anything against skin (well, maybe andy devine's skin).

From my perspective you have to start with the name of the feature -- "Headshots" -- the image size is IMHO simply too small for images that include much more than the face.

I think kdh1949 stated in best .

I have no objection to a R-Rated collection but I'm not interested myself.

Thanks to all those putting in the effort in any case.
