Do it the RIGHT way - or don't do it at all!!! I think Le Tour got it spot on this year. As horrible as it looked to the general media, they really took a stand to stamp out the cheating. While really hard on the innocent parties, I think requesting the whole teams of the found cheaters to leave the event was great. Knowing that your cheating if caught no only affects you, but all of your team has got to make you think long and hard. And it will also make teams far more careful about self-testing and monitoring. Governing Bodies can never stamp it out by themselves as they are not close enough to the competitors to monitor them all the time - they need the teams and individuals to self monitor. | | | Andy

The only thing Bonds ever admitted to was that his trainer instructed him to use a clear substance and cream, flaxseed oil and rubbing balm, which are banned by the league. Bonds said he was unaware the substances were steroids. All this came out in leaked Grand Jury testimony. He's never been convicted for lying in his Grand Jury testimony. People can think what they want of Barry but the fact remains Barry Bonds is the New Homerun King!

The new record means nothing, at last for me, in other sport this guy will not be allowed to play anymore and he will certainly not be seen as a hero. Maybe a real comissioner is need very fast for the MLB, when the blacksox scandal happen all the player get a life suspension even if they were found not guilty by the law. Sometimes logic has to prevail, Bonds used steroids so what he continue to do in this league? Just bringing shame to it.... |
