I may be a little slow today, so please forgive me for keeping to inquire.

From your conversation with deejay I understand, that you interpret the current rule to imply that the child profiles shall have the same Edition field content as the parent? Kind of like "they are not specifically mentioned, so apply the same rule again"?

I said it could be interpreted that way, Achim. I am not taking a formal stance as I am aware of numerous Rules violations in this particular vein, not submitted by me as I followed the Rule, but i can't say that I object to them either.

You keep confusing me. It is apparently subject to interpretation ("it could be interpreted that way") yet you mention Rules violations

EDIT:
Hmmm, I have been slow today. I am beginning to catch your point...

I would not use the same edition as the parent as I feel it refers to the 'set', not each piece of the set.  In your example, "The Legacy Collection" refers to the set of films, not each individual film.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I've submitted some child profiles with parent's edition, but after reading this thread I see that may cause problems and changed my mind. However, I agree a rule should clarify the topic.

It's highly unlikely that these particular Disc IDs will be used in other box sets due to their unique configuration.

But it happens with "The Godfather"-Boxsets ( at least in R2 - Germany) where the Boxset gets renamed every once in a while and comes in slightly different packages (card games, slip cover in red, blue or black) each time with a new UPC/EAN, but the discs are always the same. So I think Martin and mdnitoil have a point there.

Didn't Warner also package some of the same disc IDs for the various Superman Box Sets?
