| Posted: | | | | Is it ok to credit those that composed/written a TV Theme Song when the movie is based on the TV show?
Let's say that for the movie S.W.A.T. there is an end credit that credits the composer of the S.W.A.T. theme song. Would that person get a credit or not for 'Theme By'?
Does it matter if the credit is inside or outside of the "Song Credits"?
Also in a general sense, what about Theme credits for other TV Series that are listed in the credits, but the movie itself isn't based on that series or even based on a TV series at all? |

A definite "no" to that, if you ask me. |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with T!M. If I remember correctly, this credit was requested for this exact situation...the Star Trek theme comes to mind. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |
