| Posted: | | | | Version 1.79 AvailableAdded: - "MedaPlayer Only" mode. Set this mode with a checkmark in the LoadDVD Options panel - Netflix support - play Netflix trailers in dockable window - play Netflix instant movies in dockable or non-dockable window Netflix suport uses the developer API which makes queries to the Netflix website. You need a fast, reliable internet connection to use this feature. User authentication is done via your browser. Once you are logged in, your browser cookies will pass through to the embedded browser in LoadDVD. If you are not logged in, you can log in directly in the embedded browser, or outside. In either case, LoadDVD is absolutely NOT involved in any user authentication and has NO access to user information. User authentication and data access are indeed possible with the Netflix API, but I have elected not to offer those features at this time. I made a small demo video to show how it works. And here is a screen shot. Have fun, and let me know of any problems. Soon I will update the download access for all prior customers for a free upgrade. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | Version 1.80 Available
This is an emergency update due to a change in the Netflix web site that rendered Netflix functions inoperable.
Sorry for the frequent updates. Trying to hold the next one until official 3.6.
As usual, all existing customers can re-download for free. Uninstall prior version before installing the new one. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | Version 1.82 AvailableThis version is built on the LoadDVD V1.82 base, recently announced. The same LoadDVD changes are incorporated as part of LoadDVD Pro Version 1.82. In addition, the following changes apply to "Pro": Netflix Instant Play was failing due to a Netflix API protocol error that was previously tolerated by Netflix. I have corrected that error so that Instant Play now works again.Netflix Instant play, when in full screen mode, especially when mouse operations were being performed, crashed DVD Profiler. This was totally unacceptable, so I have completely re-written that code. The Netflix Viewer is now standalone and runs externally as a separate application, from DVD Profiler. The difference in operation to you as the user will not be apparent except that the viewer is now stable and should not be able to affect DVD Profiler operations in any way. Please take note: Running Instant Play within the mediaplayer embedded browser, may still crash in fullscreen mode. I recommend using Instant Play ONLY from the Netflix Icon in the LoadDVD menu. Here is a demo of Netflix Trailer & Instant Play Viewer in LoadDVD Pro. As usual, please uninstall the prior version before installing. The upgrade is free to all existing customers. Just login to the store with your existing email adress and password. There is no need to use the shopping cart. Go Your Account / Order History. I will be resetting the download windows shortly. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | Version 1.84 Available:
Unofficial V1.83 change to default Play/Retrive verb to "Open" is adopted. If this results in an error, the verb "Play" is used. Longstanding request for shortcut Play/Retrive is now satisfied. The temporary solution in V1.82 has been replaced by "Ctrl-disc#" as the shortcut key, unless there is a problem with that. This works for up to 9 discs. Not sure what to do after that. Suggestions welcomed. Additional fixes to track Netflix API changes.
If you have purchased LoadDVD Pro in the past, you are eligible for a free upgrade by logging in to www.mediadogg.com/shopping with the same userid and password you used before. Download access should be reset within 24 hours from now. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | Have some problems with adding the movie files to each title in my collection and save that selection without having to select them again. Want to add/link a movie to title 'A' - open the media player, go to file, select the movie I'm finished with title 'A' and go to title B and do the same. Now comes my problem. When I select title A again in the dvd-profiler menu and then go to the media-player I have to select the movie-file again. Hope people can understand what I'm saying |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, I understand. LoadDVD Pro is built on top of LoadDVD, so all the intsructions are not repeated here. What you need is described here. You will be using items (3) and (4). Note that in addtion to the Filepath, you can optionally use a URL to specify the file path, such as: <a disc=1 href="c:\myfile.avi">Play Me</a>, instead of [Filepath disc=1]c:\myfile.avi[/Filepath]. In summary, you can play files in LoadDVD Pro in the following ways: (1) Using "file" in the Location field and Filepath in Notes (same as LoadDVD). In LoadDVD Pro, these files will optionally also play in the built-in media player in a docked window. Clicking on the Play/Retrieve menus or disc icons will play the file. (2) You can load files into the Playlist Manager. You can save and load playlists at any time. (Pro feature). (3) You can play Netflix trailers and Instant Movies. Also you can play Youtube, Hulu, Vevo, Veoh, Google videos and many other flash-based videos from a common playlist. (Pro Feature). | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | Thx for your reply. I've read n3 and 4 in the other thread but still doesn't know how to solve my problem. I made a screen (see link bottom post) of the steps I took to add a movie file to each of my 2 movies. I know how to open movie files but I didn't succeed to save that selection. In steps 1 to 6 I selected the Dark Knight with file and also copied the URL and the Filepath to notes (Step 6). In step 7 and 8 I did the same with movie 2 (American History x). After that I went back to the Dark knight, reloaded the media player but then it will only play American History x. Klick for screen | | | Last edited: by apojapo |

| Posted: | | | | Check your Location field. It shoudl have the word "file", not the filepath
Also, the playlist is totally separate. You don't need to have the file in both places. The playlist does not persist. On the other hand, what you put into the Notes and Location fields is saved in the database. The Playist is saved only if you explicitly save it.
Edit: I'm not sure what you mean about reloading the media player. There is no need to do that. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | To spare both of us a lot of time: It is possible to link a moviefile to each of your movies so when you click on a different movie icon the player will automaticly load that moviefile without having to load and select that file manually?
With reloading I mean pressing the music icon button again after I selected a different movie by clikcing on the moviecase. For example, when I'm standing on the dark knight with the tab general info open and then go to American History x all info insinde that tab changes because I selected a different movie. That doesn't happen with the media player open. I can only load a file in it and it will only play that file. I thought with pressing the musicnote icon again it might work.
My problem still isn't solved. What do you mean with location field? Is that the field under notes? I select the moviefile with ''file'' and then ''Apend select items to notes as URLS and/or Filepaths'' |

| Posted: | | | | Hi, actually I have answsered your question several times now, but due to your inexperience with DVD Profiler, it is not apparent to you. Some time down the road, you will reflect on this I'm sure. The Location field is one of the DVD Profiler database fields found on the Personal Infomration page. What you are trying to do, is exactly what LoadDVD was designed for. No need to keep asking if it can be done. I'm sorry that the Overview description does not make that clear.
I will summarize once again, information from the link I gave you, and also reposted previously.
(1) Put the word "file" (no quotes) in the location field (2) Put the filepath into a [Filepath] or <a href = ... > type of specification in Notes.
The file file will play whenever you click on the disc icon, either in the Player or externally, depending on how you set things up. Of course, each Profile must have at leat one disc defined, since the Location field is part of the personal information of each disc.
There is no need to use the PlayList, or the PlayList icon for this purpose. It is an entirely different feature that is used for a different purpose, and there is a detailed User Guide with pictures and examples that describes how to use that - but you do not need it at this time.
The "Append ..." menu is there as a convenience in case you want to copy an item from the playlist into notes, to save some typing. You only need to do that once, just to get the filepath into Notes. Of course you can just copy / paste that into Notes manually, or just type it in yourself. Doesn't mattrer, so long as the filepath gets put there in the proper format. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | *********************** Announcement - Please Do Not Quote - Thanks *********************** Version 2.0 Available:As usual, prior customers can ugrade for free. I will reset the download flags soon. Make sure to uninstall the prior version before installing V2.0 - keep your old installation file, just in case, and make sure to have a backup of your DVD Profiler database and the \plugins directories before installing. New features: - Particpates in a/v Automation System. - Sony VGPXL1Bx disc access is faster and more reliable - Files played from Sony VGPXL1Bx will now optionally play in embedded Media Player window LoadDVD Pro a/v Automation: - Run local automation sequences - Can be a client to a/v DashBoard - Can load, edit and save a/v automation configuration files - Includes the command line utility - runaction.exe - Automation can be turned on and off Quickstart:- Start with the LoadDVD Quickstart and Examples. More advanced examples:- Requesting a disc retrieval from a Carousel from a remote server (1) Put the word "action" into the Location field (2) Put the disc number in the Slot field (3) Put the following action sequence definition into Notes <action name="disc1"> [DSC] %slot% [RON] mainhtpc [DEV] dacal001 [ZIO] [DSC] %rslot% [ROF] </action> Quote: The DVD Profiler Slot value is captured by the [DSC] command. Since everything between [RON] and [ROF] is sent to the mainhtpc server, we can use %rslot% to get the value substituted prior to sending. - Using automation to accomdate system configuration changes Quote: In my case, I moved a bunch of disks from my Sony cx995V to a Sony Cx777ES. Furthernore, the new machine is now controlled via RS232 instead of IR, and is on a remote server. I was able to make a simple automation table entry to accomadte the configuration change, with no changes to the DVD Profiler database. This same technique can be used when the database is shared. Each user has their own automation configuration file, reflecting their view of the network. Quote:
(1) I created a new action named "cx995v1". This serves to override the built-in LoadDVD legacy support. (2) I coded the action sequence as: [DSC] %slot%[RON] mainhtpc [PRG] CX777ES[ARG] %connect% 36 %rslot% %rtrack% %rchapter% 1[ROF] The slot value is set by [DSC] from the DVD profile. Later, this value is substituted for %rslot% before sending to the remote server. Since the server does not have the profile, we need to tell it the actual slot value. Same with track and chapter, which some users code as %8 and %9 in legacy LoadDVD - the two tokens following the verb (in this case cx995v1) in the Location field. On the other hand, the actual charaters "%connect%" are sent to the server, where it substitutes the correct com port for controlling its connected Sony Cx777es.

| Posted: | | | | Version 2.05 Available
- New menu item Tools\Automation\Run ClipBoard Action (see LoadDVD for description) - Improved handling of Flash-based objects in the Media Player: certain script errors are now suppressed
Virtually all of the "embed" type flash videos found on the internet can now be played cleanly within the Media Player hosted window as part of your DVDP layout. Playlists can be created with a mixture of embeds from various web sites (e.g. Hulu, YouTube), media file entries, pictures and audio. This is handy for trailers, TV episode snippets, news reports, interviews, etc. that might be associated with a particular movie. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here.
