If a credit says a "John Doe Production" and the actual producer is John Doe, does this really constitute a production company? |

If a credit says a "John Doe Production" and the actual producer is John Doe, does this really constitute a production company? Usually not, but there are times when it does. The safe bet, unless you know for sure, is to leave it out as it is usually a vanity credit. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | This is one of those grey area studios that can't always be determined at first glance. It usually requires a little bit of searching. I ran into a weird one the other day. It was something like Andrew McKeown Presents, which I would normally not even consider, until I noticed in the copyright was Andrew McKeown Presents Ltd., meaning it was the name of his studio. |
