You're of course correct. I might have suffered from some brain diarrhea or something in my previous posting.... Indeed, I have a 5.0 system and not 5.1. 2 x Monitor Audio BR5 as front speakers, on Monitor Audio BR LCR center speaker and then 2 x Monitor Audio BR1 as surround speakers in the back. Unfortunately, though, right now I don't have a dedicated room for movie watching (=no need for projector + silver screen so far) | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. Receiver is a Denon AVR-5308CI. It amps all but the front three which are amped by an Emotiva XPR-3. Players are a Toshiba HD-A3 (HD ) and Sony BDP-S550 (BD), and a DirectTV swm system (no cable out here in the boonies). Speakers are B&W 803Ds in front, HTM2D center, and 805s for surround, and one Velodyne DD-15 sub. There are four 805s at the moment, although it's wired for six (two pairs of side). Ran out of my approved budget! Actually that's not true - I went over. It's a good thing Gerri likes movies too or she would've kicked me out. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. | Posted: | | | | Very nice indeed! You did it up right! No slouching there at all. I can just imagine the pleasure of experiencing a good 7.1 movie with that set-up The 5308CI is one kick-ass receiver! Color me green! | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks! And yep, it is a nice receiver. I have had it overheat, even with an open room, driving those three fronts (at umm... high volumes ), so I added in the Emotiva. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

Skip How about some nice plush Red curtains with a motorized pulley to slowly pull them back AS the MGM Lion roars and the Overture for HTWWW begins.. sends chills up my spine to imagine this..... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Connection: Aerial Cable (at the moment, planning to upgrade to RGB-SCART to improve picture quality even further).

The inside of the theater is definitely function over form. When the lights are down to movie-watching-level (the front sconces go off), with the masking in place and matching the film aspect, all you can see is the movie floating on a sea of black. Wouldn't have it any other way! Here's the view from the front row. From this shot, you can see a bit of reflection on the front speakers, but that's about it. | | | Invelos Software, Inc.
