Currently the profile has it as [Outsourced]: The Complete Series.

Should it be just Outsourced: The Complete Series ?

I watched this show while it was on TV... and if I remember correctly even on the episode intros it is [Outsourced]... so current title is correct. Though my memory could be off.

From the rules:

For titles which include periods, dashes, or other symbols, check the credit block on the back of the case if included. If not, check the film credits or opening sequence. Use these to determine whether to exclude or convert the symbol to a standard character such as ".", "-", or "*"

'[' and ']' are symbols so, what does the credit block say?  Failing that, what do the credits say?
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

The opening sequence seen on YouTube indeed doesn't show anything more than just Outsourced.

That is good to know... that leaves us to ask if since the rules say....

Quote:
The title for a Box Set should be the title listed on the Front Cover
shouldn't that give us...

Title: [Outsourced]: The Complete Series
Original Title:Outsourced: The Complete Series

The rule TheMadMartian quoted is not part of the rules on the "Original Title" field, but part of the rules on the "Title" field. As such, I understand that we apply it to the "Title" field, and no use of the "Original Title" field is warranted.

I don't know if it makes a difference... because it is not mentioned at all... but I was looking under the rules for TV Series... not the standard rules.

Since that is not mentioned at all... I would think we could indeed go back to the standard rules... giving us just the credits title.

Make this a poll and I think you'll have a clear answer.
