| Posted: | | | | I am unable to right click and copy and paste text from one place to another in DVDP.
Is anyone else having this problem?
I am running Win 7.
Thanks, Jim | | | Jim

| Posted: | | | | Make sure no open hidden dialogue boxes open, such as a message box. Sometimes they will hide behind the main screen and steal focus. Win 7 or Win 8 should be no issues.
Also make sure it is only affecting DVDP - does it work in notepad? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | It seems to only affect DVDP, I can copy into notepad.
When I bootup the computer and go into DVDP I can copy and paste with no problems.
But as soon as I open a internet browser (IE9 or Firefox) then I can't paste in DVDP anymore.
I right click or control v and nothing happens. | | | Jim

| Posted: | | | | Had a similar problem on a customer's machine, but with IE9 and Open Office, no idea what causes it. But, with this additional information, it's more likely to be a IE9 and/or Win glitch.
Check what happens if you change the browser to Opera. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Just to understand if it's really a similar problem here's the error-scheme that I have:
- In the beginning everything is OK. - Open any page within your browser and copy a text (Either by right-click, or by CTRL+C) - Result: Paste becomes unavailable in context-menu, CTRL+V doesn't work either. - After this neither CTRL+V, nor context-menu "Paste" is working within the affected program even after copying content from a different source.
- This procedure is not even reproducible, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.
Is this about what you have too? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I have reinstalled DVDP completely, still the same results.
Just tried this, I am able to paste into the overview and Easter Eggs.
But not into Cast, Crew or Notes. | | | Jim

| Posted: | | | | It has been my experience that most of the time, a new install or an update of some kind, most of the time unrelated to the programs being affected, is the culprit. If you have the time, you could make a restore point where you are now; go back to a previous restore point before the problem started, one install or update at a time and see if you can pinpoint which app or update caused it to start.
This can sometimes be messy, but can help you find the source of the problem.
If you haven't installed any new apps or updated anything, then you may have changed some obscure setting within your system or the browser(s) that has affected this.
Another possibility is that your system is in the throws of or getting ready to have a more serious issue.
These are of course all conjecture as I'm not in front of your computer looking for the issue. Until the beginning of this year, when I semi retired, I was in IT for years buying, setting up and maintaining Macs and PCs. | Posted: | | | | Have you tried a reboot? That magically solves all kinds of mysteries (such as hidden orphan processes). Oops, never mind, I think I saw where you said you did that ... | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | Quoting eaglejd: Quote: I have gone back to a restore point and still had the problem. I assume you have tried running with plugins disabled? If that doesn't do it, the next place I would look is the layout. Maybe try resetting the menus in the Tools>Options>Utilities>Reset All Menus, or possibly resetting the layout by saving your existing layout, load one of the defaults, then reload yours again - see what happens. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | I give up! I uninstalled all updates back an month with no results. Have found out that my problem only occures when a net brouser is open. Once it is closed paste works again. I tried installing an older version of DVDP same problem. I think my only option is to reinstall windows. | | | Jim
