Dungeons and Dragons

That movie had potential but was ruined by the casting (even more so with the Bad Guy).  The sequel wasn't too bad.

I hear they're making a Dragonlance movie, here's to hoping it fares better (though it's a straight-to-DVD movie)

I must say that I am pretty good in my DVD purchasing decisions, I rarely if ever blind buy, and when I have I have been quite successful, all except with 1 DVD... American Sweethearts !!!

This movie is full of "A-List" talent and it is a complete and utter stinker in my humble opinion.

Dario Argento's Card Player - what makes it worse is that I'd actually seen if before and still bought it knowing what I was getting!

Mind you, I quite enjoyed Bloodsucking Freaks...

I'll be slaughtered for this, but I'll name three, two of which I've avoided buying on DVD, because, much to my dismay, they were atrocious on VHS. "Risky Business" is possibly the most amoral film I can can recall seeing. "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" I found insulting in nearly every way. And after all the hype, I bought "Lost in Translation" which featured characters I cared nothing about, doing things I found unpleasant.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

The Matadore. The previews were the best scenes from the movie. I only keep it because I can't get anything for it on a trade in.

I blind buy movie most of the time to get the free postage from Amazon. Habitually I got a good surprise (Malevolence, The Roost, ...), most of the time the movie are really not that great but they are watchable.

The cup winning in the "what a piece of crap" category in my case is "The curse of Lizzie Borden". Nothing in this one is good and I've never listen it completly and I try a couple of time, but I fall asleep everytime whatever time is it.

Masters of the Universe with Dolph Lundgren. I bought it because I remember seeing it when I was younger, and thinking now that it might be entertaining in a "no brain" kind of way. It wasn't. I had to stop watching about halfway through, as it was unbearable. I can't believe they let this movie have a running time of 1 h 45 minutes. (I might have made it through to the end had it been an 80 minute movie.)

Hmm can't think of any. I love my bad movies!

Well, that Earthsea movie was pretty awful, but regret it... ? Nah!

For me it is "Lonestar". The cast and overview promised a really good movie but I could barely sit through it.

Wow. One of my all-time favorite films. John Sayles at his best, with a decent budget!

Ah... The reason they run horse races.

How anyone could find this warm-hearted, intelligent and funny movie with it's great carpe diem philosopy "insulting" is way beyond me. Well, I guess I don't have to understand everything in this world...

Look, I'm not much good at big speeches, and I know I haven't always been an easy guy to get on with, and I know, that given the choice, I wouldn't have chosen you as friends, but I just want to say, that over the years, I have come to regard you as people I met.

Dragonlance is my favourite book and I always feared the day they'd try and make it. It's going to be animated.

The only good point so far is that Kiefer Sutherland is the voice of Raistlin. Apparently Margaret Weis is very happy with that choice as well.

I blindly bought the movie "Code 46" with Tim Robbins because I had read it was a great film. Yawn, I almost fell asleep.
