Sheesh... is there anyone in that household that doesn't have access to his accounts? So much for security and privacy!

In all seriousness, though, this is wonderful news! Keep sending him our best wishes, and I'll keep him in my prayers.

Probably the goldfish?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Hopefully he keeps the Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator under a bit more lock and key.

Glad to hear the good news!  My friend Tommy recently had his gallbladder removed and he's doing great.  Hopefully the Martian will be doing as well (Tommy was back buying comics less than a week later).

Best wishes and a speedy recovery Martian. I had my Gall Bladder out eight years ago and haven't had any problems, relatively speaking, since.

Cheers

Get well soon, Martian!
I also had my gall bladder removed several years ago, and it's worked out fine for me, too.

Hi all, TheMadMartian here...finally.  Thanks for all the well wishes.

Seems I took my 'don't do a half-assed job' menatlity a little too far in this case.  I had Acute Pancreatitis.  My white blood cell count was through the roof and my enzyme level, which is supposed to be at about 200...according to the doctor...was at 20,000.

On Thursday, they went in and remove the three wandering gallstones that were causing the pancreatitis.  The procedute went well, and they expected to remove the gallbladder on Friday, but I spiked a fever on Thursday night.

My numbers were finally good enough on Saturday, so they found me a spot on 'the board' and took out my gallbladder.  Everything went fine, and I came home yesterday.  Was out of it for most of the day, but am feeling a little bit better today.

I will say this, I don't know which was worse...the excruciating pain or the Dr. telling me, just before sending me home, that "peope die from this."

Anyway, that's my story.  I am glad to be back.  Again, thanks for all the well wishes, they raised my spirits when my wife and daughter told me about them.

Oh, one last thing, and this is for Rick...my face was soaking wet within 5 minutes of sitting down.  I guess I was missed.

There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I accidental skipped past a line when first reading and got, "I had a acute Acute Pancreatitis.  My white doctor...was at 20,000."

It's great to hear that all went well (in the end) and you have made it back home safely. Recovery can sometimes suck, but at least you are at home instead of one of those dull-as-paint-drying rooms!

(I was half expecting either a neighbor or the goldfish to be coming on to send the next update )
