Why do we include job titles, military ranks in actors name fields? |

Outside confirmation to support my original claim. Clearly this is a "personal" thing. I was in the military and never considered my rank as part of my name. Furthermore, I never used my rank or was addressed by my rank outside of a military environment. "My" personal experience is that this is by far more common for the millions of current military personnel as well as vets, than to believe that rank is part of your name....especially for the rest of your life. Last word on this is.......there is no right or wrong answer. | | | | Hal |

| | Posted: | | | | Actually, the most common way to refer to yourself or to address others in the military is by rank and last name. No first name.
So maybe we should just substitute rank for first name as their actual name! | | | | Hal |
