This thread is another example which shows that people are applying the rules as if name variants and functional equivalents were already allowed for role names. Why not adapt the rules to this behaviour?

Not from me either. I didn't think your comments were that bad, but I could see the conversation going downhill and didn't want to see another topic derailed.

No worries.  I am an adult, I can take my lumps.  They aren't the first I have gotten and, probably, won't be the last.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

What would have worried me, it would have been if I had wrongly accused publicly somebody without proof, much more than the arrows...

I didn't accuse you of doing it.  I said I was going to assume that you did.  To assume means to "accept without verification or proof."

You once made the analogy that, since I am a stickler for the contribution rules, I would let a baby drown in a lake because of a sign that read "No Swimming".  How you can make that kind of analogy, and then feign injury here, is beyond me.  Please get down off that moral high ground, you certainly have not earned the right.

That meant that, as you never would in fact let a baby drown, there would probably be circumstances where you'll find better to violate rules. Recently, with crew roles, you demonstrated I was right : all the babies are saved...    So please receive my apologies for having judged you correctly...

You can say what you want, the fact that you can only think a red arrow came from me simply means that you never understood how I behave...    But this post helps me to undestand how you behave...

PS :  assume
tr.v. assumed, assuming, assumes
1. To take upon oneself: assume responsibility; assume another's debts.
2. To undertake the duties of (an office): assumed the presidency.
3. To take on; adopt: "The god assumes a human form" John Ruskin.
4. To put on; don: The queen assumed a velvet robe.
5. To affect the appearance or possession of; feign.
6. To take for granted; suppose: assumed that prices would rise. See Synonyms at presume.
7. To take over without justification; seize: assume control.
8. To take up or receive into heaven.

Sorry for my bad english. I knew only 1,2,3,6 and not 7. But is it really impossible to understand your sentence as if you meant 6 ?

I'm not accusing you of anything, Surfeur, but it's seems very coincidal that everytime someone criticizes you they get a red arrow for it.  You may not be the one to give out red arrows, but if you aren't you have a very good friend who does give.

To prove that wasn't me, I gave on those posts two green arrows to Unicus, and said it to him by private message. As we cannot send a green and a red arrow for the same post, I think Unicus was able to verify I didn't lie.

To be honest, I must say that the day after I removed the two green arrows, which were not really justified in this case...

And about red arrows, Unicus must also have a very good friend who send some to me...

You really like to argue, hey guys? Why don't you all try to give some constructive answers instead of constantly repeating we ain't allowed to do this or that and fire red arrows at each other.
