The recent addition of DVDProfiler advertising text to all sections of the online collection is really annoying: "DVD Profiler - Automated DVD collection software for the DVD and Blu-ray enthusiast!"

Do anyone know how to turn this off?

Cheers.

It does not bother me. It looks very discreet and I think that Invelos has every right to inform visitors on every page about who runs the web site. And you see only if you scroll to the very end of the cast list.

Gotta say I agree. Hell, I even wouldn't mind if they put it at the top instead of the bottom. That way those who simply follow people's links to their collections from other sites are informed about the existence of the program. The more people buy DVD Profiler, the more of an incentive Ken will have to continue improving it.

The on-line collection is part of the Invelos site.  This small bit of text is the only place where they are identified.  I have no problem with it.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I never noticed it till this thread came up either. the way it is now I have no problem with it at all.

I do kinda wonder though... if that will be there on the "Free" version. but will be able to be turned off for those that eventually get DVDPO+

I only see this on the Home page (top of page and not bottom) as Astrakan points out as well.,, and I see nothing at all on any of the pages of the forum.. It is the forum you are referring to is it not?  Your quote above says (in bold) online collection,  I can't see anything at all "referring to DVD and Blu-ray enthusiast.. "  ........

I see it on your list Terry... Go to your online collection list... go to any profile you want... and scroll all the way down... below the cast list there is a tan banner that says it.

oh yeah  that little bit of hypertext language at the bottom of viewed collection ratehr than online collection...  One thing I'll say about Ken Cole's Invelos web site is the fact that I have NEVER had a 'popup'  or spam infected web pages....

@piscesx
Sheesh!  For a one-time cost of around $30 you get a place to store your online database, access it as often as you wish, and you have the nerve to complain about Invelos promoting itself.  I guess you feel entitled to have access to your database on someone else's server for free.

Most people would be grateful for the service that Invelos provides users online instead of carping about a promotional banner.

I had to search for that line and it took me a few seconds.  It's not even worth mentioning.
