For the last week or so, every morning when I do the "refresh updated profiles", it tells me that all profiles are up to date.  This is despite the fact that I'm definitely voting on a lot of contributions which I assumed are being approved, as well as having my own contributions approved.  Usually, when my own contributions are processed, they still show up in the updated profiles to be refreshed, just as skipped.  Yesterday, I realized that the new Pi 4K release had a number of changes that weren't on my downloaded profile.

Is this happening to anyone else?  Any ideas what to do to fix it?

I thought the same thing, but lately I have been getting updates after approval. Most of the time however, I get the "All DVD profiles are up to date."

You can download the online profile list directly from your browser and save it to your "My Documents\DVD Profiler" directory. The next time you start DVD Profiler, it will automatically import the downloaded file.

Download the file by right-clicking on the download link below and selecting "Save Target As". Then, browse to your "My Documents" folder, then into "DVD Profiler" from there. Save the downloaded file.

Download link: OnlineList.dod

This works! Just make sure you download the file into the directory indicated, and then restart Profiler.

Thanks I'll try this out!  Do you still the chance to decide whether or not to include certain updated data?

It just downloads the online profile list. After that you can select Refresh Updated Profiles from the menu, just like before.

Or just hold the Ctrl key and select Refresh Online Profile List... under the Online... tab.

This just downloads the complete online profile list, you still need to Refresh Updated Profiles as usual.

Hm, is that documented somewhere? I assume that it was implemented after Ken had written that article in the knowledge base. It's a pity Ken was so bad at updating the documentation. Or, in fact, documenting some special functions at all. Now much of it is just through oral tradition.

I just came to ask this question! I thought it was just me!
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

You don't have to download the complete online profile list every day though, do you?

Shouldn't, but lately the daily updates seem to be hit or miss in downloading.

It didn't seem to work for me today--maybe right now you do need to down the list daily?

I've also had no updated profiles to refresh, even though the website database is frequently updated with new information for titles in my collection.
It's been over a week now.  Something is definitely wrong.
